Annual Christmas Ornament Tradition

This year, keeping in mind the instruments the girls are playing, I greatly enjoyed finding the most detailed ornaments to compliment their love of music.
This afternoon and for Emily's Christmas gift, I shipped Emily's 19 year old trombone (my old trombone) to Florida where a very skilled and talented professional is going to completely refurbish it to brand new condition. I have felt fortunate that I haven't had to absorb the expense of buying her a new horn and very humbled that she didn't demand one. She's worked so hard on this old horn for the past five years and I feel she deserves it. Originally, we had considered having the horn silvered and re-lacquered but learned that would change the pitch of the sound and take away from the horn's original condition.
In light of this, you'll see Emily DID get her silver trombone afterall in the form of an ornament, Adaline's been playing the guitar for quite awhile now and Melanie has taken up the trumpet. Check out the incredible detail!
