Here we are...another monumental accomplishment is underway!
Emily has entered 10th grade at a brand new high school. Not just new to her, but literally brand new! I'm so very thankful that the school is right around the corner from our neighborhood as it makes getting her to and from her numerous events SO much easier. I can't believe we survived last year: 3 girls in three different schools--elementary, middle and a high school that was 40 minutes away in traffic.
Adaline is now the "upper classman" as an 8th grader at the middle school and is showing the ropes to Melanie, now a 6th grader. Adaline seems most excited about absolutely nothing. She's maintained a pretty low-key attitude about 8th grade, but I know her energy will build in something soon. She's in theater this year and I feel she'll excel in it...hopefully the joy of it will rub off on Melanie.
Melanie is most excited about band. She took her trumpet to school this morning for the first time but was a little disappointed they didn't actually get to play their instruments. I'm sure today was familiarity with your horn, 101.
